On April 16 & 17, 2018, the Seminar with topic on “Portugal’s Networking of Honorary Consulates in the world: Reality and potential” will be organized at Auditorium of Museu do Oriente, Lisbon – the capital of Portugal.
The Seminar is expected to have the opening speech by the Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa and to have the presence of the Foundation Oriente President – Mr. Carlos Monjardino, the Secretary of State for the Portuguese Communities – Mr. José Luis Carneiro and Portugal’s honorary consulates in the world. Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group – the Honorary Consul of Portugal in Ha Noi, Vietnam – will also attend and speak at the Seminar.
According to the Comunidades Portuguesas, participants of the Seminar will discuss topics related to Portugal’s Foreign policy, Internationalization and attraction of investment in economy, Portuguese cooperation in language and culture; Tourism promotion, Higher education, and Scientific research. Along with the official session, there will be side events, receptions, and cultural programs.
The session will be officially closed in the afternoon of April 17, 2018 by the local time with the closing remarks of the Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Alvaro Mendoca e Moura.
